Malaysia Airlines Bhd Donates Two Return Business Class Tickets at Charity Auction

Meanwhile, Malaysia Airlines has also been doing some charity work. Namely, the carrier has donated two return business class tickets (Kuala Lumpur-London) at the British Malaysian Society charity auction. The tickets will go to Voice of the Children and MERCY Malaysia U.K.

Weng Chi Lee, Malaysia Airlines manager for the United Kingdom said:

We feel really strongly about issues affecting the global community. The Voice of the Children and MERCY Malaysia allows us to reach out to these communities and we are pleased to be able to provide our assistance by donating the proceeds from our Business Class tickets in support of these causes.

Voice of the Children is an organization dedicated to promoting and improving children’s rights in Malaysia, and is pushing for a law reform that would protect the children from violation.

MERCY Malaysia U.K. is a humanitarian group that also offers medical aid for vulnerable communities in crisis and/or non-crisis situations.

Nearly RM40,000 were raised for the two organizations and the event.
