AirAsia to Offer Double Daily Service to Kunming, China

In a new move to add a better connection to Southwest China, AirAsia Bhd has decided to double the number of flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kunming from one flight per day to two per day and from Bangkok to Kunming to also two flights per day.

The new increase in service will be in effect from 19^th December, 2017 for Kuala Lumpur-Kunming and from 16^th January, 2018 for Bangkok-Kunming.

AirAsia is celebrating its fifth year operating these two routes. The carrier launched its first flight from KL to Kunming on 10^th December, 2012 and the day after it also started operating Bangkok-Kunming route.

To mark the big occasion, the airline is offering all-in fares from RM179 for flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Changshui International Airport in Kunming. Booking is available until 17^th December and can be used for travel until 30^th June next year.

The carrier released an updated flight schedule for Kuala Lumpur – Kunming. Flight AK101 will depart from Kuala Lumpur at 13:10 PM and arrive in Kunming at 16:55. The returning AK102 will leave Kunming at 17:55 and arrive back in Kuala Lumpur at 22:00, as before. The additional Flight AK103 will now depart from KLIA at 21:35 and is scheduled to arrive at 1:25 AM, while the returning Flight AK104 takes off from the airport in Kunming at 2:30 AM and lands in Kuala Lumpur at 6:35 AM.

In addition to this, the budget airline has also announced that, starting 1^st February, 2018, it will begin its third route to Kunming, this time from Phuket.

AirAsia Wins Two Awards at WTA2017

At the recent World Travel Awards, AirAsia won its fifth consecutive World’s Leading Low Cost Airline and also the World’s Leading Low Cost Airline Cabin Crew award.

CEO of AirAsia Group Tony Fernandes congratulated his staff on wining the two awards at the World Travel Awards 2017 Grand Finals, held at the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay in Vietnam.
