AirAsia customers who want to fly across the ASEAN between 9th August, 2016 and 6th April next year can now do so from as low as RM10 thanks to a new promotional offer by the airline. In celebration of the ASEAN Day, the carrier is offering promotional fares that its passengers can book between 8th and 14th August.
These one-way fares can be used for all ASEAN nations, including Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Brunei, Singapore and Philippines. In addition, AirAsia guests can also use the fares on AirAsia and AirAsia X-operated destinations outside the ASEAN region, such as South Asia, North Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Africa.
AirAsia X passengers will also have the opportunity to upgrade to Premium Flatbead seat from only RM698 one-way, not including airport fees, taxes and other optional services.
The promotional fares can be used with AirAsia Malaysia, Malaysia AirAsia X, AirAsia Thailand, Thai AirAsia X, Indonesia AirAsia, Indonesia AirAsia X and AirAsia Philippines.

AirAsia Denies Selling Leasing Arm Stake
At the same time, AirAsia has once again denied rumors that it could be selling the majority stake in Asia Aviation Capital Ltd.
The LCC said its board of directors did not receive any proposal to sell stake in its plane –leasing unit and had not discussed the matter.
In a filing with the stock exchange, AirAsia said:
As part of our corporate disclosure policy, we will make the necessary disclosures to Bursa Malaysia as and when there are material developments on this matter in accordance with the Main Market Listing Requirements.
The company also added that it is constantly evaluating any proposal that could lead to boosting its shareholders’ value, including corporate restructuring, acquisitions or asset divestment and pointed out the following:
While the company's management is currently looking at a number of options, no decision will be made on any proposal without the matter being approved by the board.
