Touristly Offers Concierge Services to AirAsia’s Tune Hotels

14th Jul 2016

AirAsia Bhd is expanding its partnership with travel startup Touristly, with the latter now offering concierge services to Tune Hotels, AirAsia’s sister company. Previously, Touristly agreed to partner AirAsia’s loyalty club BIG Loyalty.

Jack Tan, Chief Operations Officer at Tune Hotels made the following comment regarding the deal with Touristly:

Here at Tune Hotels we endeavor to furnish our guests with quality service: great rooms, 24-hour security, centralized locations, necessary amenities and now Touristly, we are able to further enhance their stay with us, taking the stress out of holiday planning.

Touristly founder and Chief Executive Officer Aaron Sarma said in a statement:

We are excited to roll out a customized solution for Tune Hotels that assists their guests who are on the travel booking path to find amazing things to do. Once they have locked down their flight and hotel plans, the natural thing to do is to plan the fun parts of the holiday experience, which is where we come in.

He also said:

In respect to these partnerships, our aim is to be an ancillary revenue platform that allows existing players an opportunity to provide additional offerings to their customers with no upfront investment.

Touristly Looking to Expand Relationship With AirAsia and Tune Groups Further

Mr Sarma was also very positive about deepening Touristly’s relationship with both AirAsia and Tune brands, saying:

Yes, you can expect further roll outs with companies within Tune Group and more in the months to come. We see this partnership with Tune Hotels as a synergistic with our earlier announcement with AirAsia BIG as it further positions Touristly within the latter's travel industry ecosystem. Now customers can earn AirAsia BIG points for their flight on AirAsia, their accommodation at Tune Hotels and their travel itineraries on Tune Hotels’ Concierge powered by Touristly.

Touristly was launched in June last year. It offers itinerary solutions to hotels, travel agencies and B&B’s, offering them access to their large inventory of content. The startup offers more than 7000 deals in 70 destinations across Asia, Australia and New Zealand and could add some new destinations soon.

The Malaysian-based startup recently won the Duke of York’s Pitch@Palace Malaysia award, which will allow it to showcase its business this December at the Pitch@Palace Global at St. James’ Palace in the United Kingdom.
