MAB Celebrates Liverpool Partnership with New London-KL Promotions

13th Oct 2016

Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) recently signed a three-year deal with Liverpool FC, becoming the Premier League’s official global airline partner. To celebrate this, MAB has launched two promotions on the London-Kuala Lumpur route.

MAB flies twice daily between London and Kuala Lumpur.

The first promotion targets all MAB customers and offers all-in return flights from KL from RM2,499 and all-in return flights from London from £399 in Economy Class. The promotion will be available from today until 17th October and can be used for travel between 13th October, 2016 and 31st March, 2017.

The other promotion offers a discount on miles redemption on London-Kuala Lumpur route for Enrich members. This way, Loyalty members will be able to take 70 per cent off their miles cost for the First Class, 55 per cent off on Business Class and 30 per cent off on Economy Class tickets.

These discounts will apply to bookings made with miles or a money/miles combination and will run until 16th October (midnight) for flights scheduled through 4th December, 2016.

Speaking about the promotions, Kharui Nisa Ismail, Head of Enrich & Loyalty said:

We are absolutely delighted to offer our Enrich members such a fantastic opportunity to fly with us on our London to Kuala Lumpur route. With redemption as low as 90,000 miles for Business Class, and 117,000 miles for First Class, members can truly experience travel in style and comfort.

Malaysia Airlines to Launch Penang to Kota Kinabalu and Kuching Routes from 18th November

MAB will also launch two new domestic routes from 18th November, to Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. Both will start from Penang. Both Penang-Kota Kinabalu and Penang-Kuching will be four-time weekly services.

The routes will be operated on a seasonal basis during the peak holiday period until December, said the airline in a statement.

Malaysia Airlines will also offer a seven-day one-way, all-inclusive Economy Class seats sale starting at RM169 for Penang-Kota Kinabalu and RM129 for Penang-Kuching service. The sale will end on 19th October for travel between 18th November and 31st December this year.

MAB CEO Peter Bellew said:

We believe this will open up greater domestic tourism for Sabah, Sarawak and Penang. This sector also complements Firefly’s schedule and benefits those looking for onward connections to Malaysia’s largest secondary cities.
