AirAsia yesterday announced that its new global brand ambassador will be David Foster, Canadian musician, composer, songwriter, arranger and record producer.
The Grammy award-winning musician will help the carrier market its premium range of products through several exclusive campaigns. The partnership will include a variety of engagement activities for AirAsia customers and Foster’s fans, including the opportunity to meet the musician during a concert/
AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes said the partnership is intended to improve the carrier’s products and establish a new market for it as it grows from a low-budget to a value-carrier company.
Fernandes said:
David is an old friend and we’ve created many hits together over the years. David is a legend and I’m looking forward to creating many more hits through this collaboration, especially on our Premium offerings.
The new brand ambassador for AirAsia said:

AirAsia Opening a New Route to India
Meanwhile, AirAsia has also announced the opening of a new route between Malaysia and India. Beginning on 27 August, the carrier will fly three times per week between Kuala Lumpur and Goa.
Tony Fernandes tweeted the following about this:
Looking forward to our Kuala Lumpur-Goa first flight on Aug 27.
Fernandes also said that the best tweet using the hashtag #airasiagoa will be rewarded with two free seats.
Earlier this year (in March), AirAsia opened another route to India. The carrier then launched a Kuala Lumpur-Visakhapatnam route.
