Malaysian low cost carrier AirAsia is becoming a magnet for awards. After winning Skytrax award for the Best Low Cost Airline in June, the airline has now grabbed another gold.
This time, AirAsia has taken the award for the World’s Best Low Cost Airline at the Putra Brand Awards. This is the 6th time in a row that the carrier is going home with the coveted award.
AirAsia has won the gold under the “Transportation, Travel and Tourism” category.
Chief executive officer for AirAsia Bhd, Aireen Omar said the following after receiving the reward:
We are very proud to be the Gold Recipient for the ‘Transportation, Travel & Tourism’ Category for Putra Brand Awards once again, and would like to thank everyone who voted for AirAsia. We are committed to further grow our route network and make our brand presence stronger as we move from being just a low-cost carrier to being a value-carrier.
About the Putra Brand Awards
The Putra Brand Awards were launched in 2010 by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) and the Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands (MMVB) as a way to distinguish brand building as a key element in business investment, measured by consumer preferences.
This year’s Putra Brand Awards ceremony was held in Kuala Lumpur.
