AirAsia Introduces Two New Promotions

27th Jun 2016

Malaysian-based low budget carrier AirAsia has launched two new promotions this month, much to the pleasure of its customers.

The first promotion, called “Find Your Asia” is targeting Hong Kong residents and is challenging their knowledge of the region. The campaign asks the participants to fill-in a series of blank questions, such as:

Johor Bahru is home to the first _____ in Asia.

Or:

In Phuket, James Bond Island has a huge reef rock shaped like a _____?

(In case you are wondering what the answers might be, it’s “LEGOLAND” and “cabbage”. You can find all the answers on AirAsia’s Facebook page).

AirAsia is working with J. Walter Thompson (JWT) Hong Kong on this promotion. General Manager of the agency Dannis Lam said:

We’re thrilled to be working this exciting, iconic Asian brand in this highly competitive market.

AirAsia was in talks with two other digital agencies from HK for the project, but the choice fell to JWT.

AirAsia Introduces “Fly Like a Superstar”

Meanwhile, in another promotion, AirAsia is offering one-way fares as low as RM169, inclusive of taxes on both AirAsia and AirAsia X flights from Kuala Lumpur to India.

The promotion starts on Monday, 27th June and will last until 3rd July this year. Guests can use their tickets between 28th June and 24th November, 2016.

In a statement, the airline said:

This promotion is available for booking online at airasia.com as well as AirAsia’s mobile app on the iPhone and Android devices, and the mobile site mobile.airasia.com.

AirAsia Promotes New Tamil Movie via its In-Flight Menu

Besides this, the biggest Asian budget carrier is promoting the new Tamil movie called “Kabali” through its new in-flight menu. The menu can be pre-booked for only RM9.90 (introductory price) and will be available on all AirAsia flights from 1st July onwards. The menu will include the new “Kabali Vegetarian Briyani”.

AirAsia flies directly from Kuala Lumpur to several destinations in India, including Kochi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Trichy and Visakhapatnam. AirAsia X flies directly between Kuala Lumpur and New Delhi.
