Low cost carrier AirAsia Bhd has announced that they will begin operating a new route between Malaysia and India. Namely, the airline will start a route between Kuala Lumpur and Goa, India.
AirAsia planes will begin operating on the Kuala Lumpur-Goa route beginning 27th April and will fly three times per week.
In a short statement to the press, AirAsia Bhd said this will be their fourth unique route in this month. Previously, AirAsia started operating routes between Kuala Lumpur and Pattaya, Thailand; Johor Bahru and Bangkok; as well as Kuala Lumpur to Kaohsiung in Taiwan.
The budget carrier has also decided to offer promotional all-in fares to its customers. Tickets are available for booking from 3rd June to next Sunday, 7th June and will be valid for travel between 27th August, this year and 31st May next one.

AirAsia Wins ‘Top Malaysian Brand’ in Asia’s Top 1000 Brand Survey
In the meantime, AirAsia has solidified its position as the number one airline brand in the region by becoming the highest ranked Malaysian brand in this year’s Asia’s Top 1000 Brand Survey.
According to the survey, AirAsia ranks 34th on the list. Last year, the carrier was at 43th place. This is the highest that the carrier has been ranked in the 12-year history of this poll.
The survey was done by the renowned market research company Nielsen and Campaign Asia-Pacific.
AirAsia also continues to claim the title ‘top airline in the region’, which they took from Singapore Airlines in 2010.
Apart from AirAsia, 25 more Malaysian brands found their place on the list. Among them are Malaysia Airlines at 508th (currently 22nd among airline companies) and Firefly, which ranked 852nd on the list.
