Malaysian carrier AirAsia revealed yesterday that it will be resuming its direct service between Kuala Lumpur and Maldives. The service, which includes three flights per week, will commence on 22nd October this year.
The airline issued a statement earlier today, informing interested travelers that they can book an all-in fare for KL-Maldives service for as low as RM169. This price is only for one direction, however.
In a statement, AirAsia also explained the promotion will be available until 26th July, 2015. The travel period when passengers can use their tickets will be from 22nd October this year, until 31st August next one.
Head of Commercial at AirAsia Berhad, Spencer Lee, explained the flight schedules for the Kuala Lumpur to Maldives route will enable customers from different regions, such as China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Hong Kong and Australia to connect better by using the company’s Fly-Thru service.
Spencer also said:
AirAsia is the only airline that flies direct to Maldives from here, offering three times weekly flights to this island destination. Among the destinations which offer Fly-Thru connectivity to Maldives include Incheon, Osaka, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Bangkok, Penang and Gold Coast.
Travellers can book a ticket for the route online via AirAsia’s website at airasia.com, or its mobile site.
